1.      Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, in Angel Canyon, is the nation’s largest animal sanctuary. On any given day you can find over 2,000 dogs, cats and an assortment of other creatures from all over the country. 2.      Reading Education Assistance Dogs (R.E.A.D.) is one of the programs provided by Intermountain Therapy Animals in Salt Lake City, help children improve their literacy skills. http://www.therapyanimals.org/ita

 

3.      Friends of Animals Utah, in Park City, rescues and re-homes animals from all over the state. Their adoption site, Furburbia, located in an outlet mall, is a good example of using commercial space to promote animal welfare causes. www.friendsofanimals.net
